I headed back to my hometown recently for Perth’s inaugural PUBLIC street art festival. 6 days of sun and old friends, and too much beer and spray paint.

It was really nice getting to paint big again - especially with the Last Chance Studio guys, reunited after 4 years - Daek William, Kyle Hughes-Odgers, Ian Strange, Tim RollinRyan Boserio and Martin Wills.

Pictured above is one of two group walls we did as part of the festival. Hands down the best event that’s ever happened in Perth. So many amazing artists from all over the world, so many good vibes. Can’t wait for it to all happen again next year.

Last month in Melbourne i was stoked to curate my third group exhibition - "Gold Blood, Magic Weirdos" at Backwoods Gallery. It came together damn well and the opening night turnout was amazing - one of the biggest crowds ever at Backwoods. Real big love to those who came down and partied, and to everyone who helped make this thing happen.

It’s been an awesome experience completing the Magic Weirdos trilogy, after 3 shows in 17 months, on 2 continents, in 3 cities, with 41 artists and a hell of a lot of good art and new friends. It might be a while before i co-ordinate anything so ambitious again, but there are still some more cool projects in the works. I’ll keep you posted.

Check out Fecal Face for a full photo recap. All shots by the wonder siblings Tom and Ali Groves.

I’ll try to post on tumblr more often, but i’m updating my instagram most days:
